About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at Select Physical Therapy. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional service and care from the moment they arrive at our center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Registration and Scheduling: Register new patients, schedule appointments, and provide information about what to expect during their visit.
  • Communication and Coordination: Regularly communicate with patients, providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Insurance and Billing: Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
  • Patient Support: Provide patients with pertinent information about their next appointment, respond to requests for information, and offer support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Ability: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to type (including 10-key) throughout a work day/shift.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics.
  • Visual and Auditory Abilities: Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction. Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
