About the Role:

VSP Retail, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Contact Center Representative to join our team. As a Patient Contact Center Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, answering their calls, and assisting with scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high volumes of inbound calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow established call guidelines to ensure consistent and high-quality customer service.
  • De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Verify patient insurance and benefits while on calls.
  • Schedule, reschedule, cancel, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Notify the Patient Contact Center Supervisor of any issues or technical problems that arise.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the Patient Contact Center Supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Typically requires one to two years of administrative experience, with at least one year of experience providing administrative support.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of the MS Office package.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to prioritize tasks and interact with customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
  • Ability to ask relevant questions to identify customer needs.
  • Proven problem-solving, negotiations, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in applying customer/call handling guidelines.
  • Ability to listen, process transactions, and interact with customers simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
