Position Overview

As a Front Desk Representative at Orthopaedic Solutions Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing patient experience and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the office area for patient arrivals by ensuring all necessary equipment is operational and the front desk is organized.
  • Welcome patients with a friendly demeanor, introducing yourself and providing assistance as needed.
  • Communicate any potential delays in service to patients promptly.
  • Guide patients in using the intake tablet and assist those who may have difficulties.
  • Verify that all required patient information is accurately completed.
  • Check that patients' identification and insurance details are current and consistent with our records.
  • Confirm the presence of valid authorizations in patient accounts.
  • Ensure insurance benefits are verified within the required timeframe.
  • Collect necessary payments including co-pays and outstanding balances.
  • Inform patients about the credit card on file policy and secure necessary agreements.
  • Initiate the check-in process using our electronic medical record system.
  • Prepare and print financial agreements, ensuring patient signatures are obtained.
  • Upload external imaging files into our PACs system as required.
  • Organize documentation for the following day's appointments.
  • Schedule follow-up visits for patients as needed.
  • Complete daily financial reconciliations.
  • Process payments for disability forms when necessary.
  • Scan and archive daily batches of documents appropriately.
  • Maintain smooth clinic operations by promptly reporting any issues to the supervisory staff.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures established by Orthopaedic Solutions Management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient data entry skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Orthopaedics.
  • Familiarity with Athena EMR.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
