Job Overview

The National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS) is seeking a part-time Health Fitness Specialist/Exercise Physiologist to join our team. As a key member of our fitness center, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, administering fitness assessments, and developing exercise programs that meet the needs of our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests
  • Administer fitness assessments and develop exercise programs
  • Teach group fitness classes and provide fitness floor assistance
  • Support co-workers in the development and implementation of fitness and wellness incentive programs
  • Assist in the daily supervision and administration of the fitness center

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a health-related field
  • Three years of fitness instructor and/or personal training experience
  • Ability to conduct fitness assessments and develop exercise programs using ACSM guidelines
  • ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP) preferred
