Job Summary

Sahouri Insurance & Financial is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Executive to join our Commercial Lines – Real Estate department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional risk management solutions to our growing client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Manage a book of business comprised of middle markets-larger Property & Casualty insurance clients within the Real Estate sector, with a focus on full client retention.
  • Service Delivery: Provide quality service to clients, manage and control client relationships, and support Producers in their efforts to attract and retain clients.
  • Account Management: Be the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company and designated accounts, responsible for the successful fulfillment of corporate strategies and compliance with company workflows and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and delegate tasks to team members, including account assistants, claims managers, accounting managers, and Producers, to ensure the client's needs are met.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain proficiency in all technical aspects of the position, including policy review, limits, coverages, program design, solvency issues, and excess & surplus lines placements.
  • Business Development: Remarket and handle other renewal activities with the Account Manager/Account Executive/Producer, and discuss and add new lines of coverage to existing accounts.
  • Communication: Address client needs by communicating with the client, via computer, phone, or face-to-face interaction, and ensure that all appropriate resources are being utilized.
  • Data Management: Develop and maintain complete, accurate, and timely data in EPIC according to NFP Standards, Policies & Procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency, with a comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in successfully managing a team of experienced commercial P&C service staff.
  • Higher education designation (CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRM) is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience with compliance, forecasting, annual audits, and reporting.
  • Professional presentation skills required.
  • Knowledgeable about real estate industry trends, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve performance.
  • Previous sales management experience and a willingness to mentor Producers is a must.
  • This position will require some travel and will be client-facing as needed.
  • Must be able to lead by example, show a professional winning attitude always, and earn the respect of our staff by demonstrating fairness and competence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, working knowledge of Agency Management Systems, proficiency with office software applications, etc.
