SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Bicycle Retail Assistant Manager who thrives in an outdoor-centric environment. Ideal candidates will possess a strong enthusiasm for cycling and a desire to lead a dynamic team. In this role, you will not only oversee and nurture a high-performing team but also enhance operational processes to create an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere for both customers and staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that your team consistently delivers exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations.
  • Provide top-quality bicycle services and support.
  • Train and develop team members on effective sales techniques and continuous improvement practices.
  • Formulate innovative strategies to boost store sales through thorough business analysis and actionable planning.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities, presenting effective solutions.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards that align with company guidelines, creating an inspiring shopping environment.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures by the store team.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge.
  • Promote Sun & Ski within the local community.
  • Lead and engage in various promotional events.
  • Manage store expenses and payroll while prioritizing, planning, delegating, and adapting to business needs.
  • Maintain open communication with management to stay informed about company initiatives.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize inventory loss and ensure accurate cash management.
  • Note: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience with a proven track record in team leadership, sales growth, and profitability enhancement.
  • Outdoor Enthusiast: A strong passion for cycling and other outdoor activities.
  • At least 2 years of retail experience, preferably in the outdoor sports sector.
  • Understanding of business operations and loss prevention techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for fostering strong relationships with vendors, team members, and upper management.
  • Proficiency in networking, recruiting, interviewing, training, and developing staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in a bike shop is advantageous.
