About This Role

Tria Federal is seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development and Growth to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with our target customers in the health market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Account Strategies: Create and recommend customer-specific account strategies and goals, with a focus on agencies in the health market (VA, DHA, HHS).
  • Drive Growth and Client Engagement: Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to support client engagement and drive growth.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Serve as a subject matter expert in the field, identifying and engaging with key influencers and decision-makers at all levels of the customer organization. Build and maintain strong relationships with mid and senior-level leaders.
  • Collaborate with Key Executives: Collaborate with key executives at Tria to generate and develop ideas, as well as pursue growth opportunities.
  • Provide Guidance and Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership on the company's strategy-to-action plans, assisting in achieving key milestones and driving growth.
  • Identify and Pursue Business Opportunities: Identify, qualify, and support the capture and closure of business opportunities in collaboration with the business and capture teams.
  • Participate in Business Development Process: Participate in various stages of the Tria business development process, including pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal reviews.
  • Act as a Customer Advocate: Act as a customer advocate by identifying mission needs and representing the customer's perspective.
  • Promote Corporate Capabilities: Promote the full range of corporate capabilities to potential customers.
  • Support Strategic Planning: Support overall strategic planning and aligning pursuits/capture activities with the business development metrics for awards, submissions, and pipeline.
  • Conduct Market Research: Conduct market research, including analyzing customer preferences, competitive analysis, and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of incumbent contractors.
Requirements
  • Relevant Subject Matter Expertise: Relevant subject matter expertise in the agency communities.
  • Established Network: Demonstrable ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience of collaboration efforts outside the organization.
  • Executive Presence: Poised, exceptional executive presence and highly articulate.
  • Ability to Influence Change: Proven ability to positively influence change at different levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Business Administration or Health-Related Field: Degree preferred in business administration or within a health-related field.
  • Relationship Building: Experience in relationship building that increases market penetration and leads to increased opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Collaboration and Delivery: Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work with supporting functions and other delivery organizations for win/win results.
  • Breaking into New Accounts: Experience with breaking into new accounts/customers through effective capture tactics.
