We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our Circuit Card Assembly Factory in Andover, MA.
Key Responsibilities- Support the operation of SMT Process lines, including automated and programmable equipment, for multiple products.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process baseline metrics, SPC implementation, defect prevention, and process data analysis.
- Lead root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Develop and implement manufacturing process improvements, including lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Collaborate with senior personnel on technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations and/or suppliers.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process instructions and technical reports.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience in applying lean manufacturing principles and knowledge of ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 & IPC-CC-830.
- Knowledge and experience with supporting circuit card assembly production floor, process and/or quality focus.
- Specialized tooling development (jigs, fixtures, specialized packaging development) and experience supporting SMT equipment.
- Knowledge and ability to apply Six Sigma principles and techniques.
