Business Development Manager

Omaha Sports Properties, a dedicated entity representing the University of Nebraska-Omaha, is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and selling creative sponsorship packages to local, regional, and national companies. Your primary goal will be to meet and exceed assigned sales goals by building relationships with potential clients and showcasing the benefits of investing in collegiate athletics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and building relationships with local, regional, and national companies to highlight the advantages of investing in collegiate athletics
- Executing the sales process, including prospecting, building and presenting sales presentations, creating proposals, and negotiating contracts
- Managing a book of business and being responsible for the upselling and renewing of current partners
- Building and maintaining lasting relationships with corporate partners and athletic department staff
- Entertaining clients and working various game-day events
Requirements include:
- 1 year of sales experience
- Ability to analyze a client's marketing needs and craft integrated solutions to meet those needs
- Negotiating skills and ability to identify and influence key decision-makers
- Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
