Position Overview:

We are currently in a phase of profitable growth and are looking for a seasoned, self-driven Senior Financial Analyst who is enthusiastic about propelling and effectively managing Okta's rapid expansion. This role is integral to our finance team, collaborating with executive-level business partners and their teams within the Chief Revenue Officer's organization on all planning, forecasting, and analytical activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary analytic and strategic financial partner to the leadership team of the WW CRO Group.
  • Oversee and support the budgeting, forecasting, and expense close processes for various functional teams within the CRO group, which includes:
    • Collaborating with business partners to ensure accuracy in headcount, program expenditures, sales commission models, and other critical metrics based on operational performance.
    • Preparing variance analyses comparing budget/forecast to actual results and other pertinent reporting.
    • Conducting thorough analyses, assessing key drivers and metrics, and partnering to enhance operational efficiencies.
    • Working with the controllership team on accruals and other components of the closing process.
    • Continuously improving these processes as necessary.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly management reports detailing underlying performance, leading indicators, and key business metrics.
  • Compile analytics and financial summaries to support fiscal year planning and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate and drive various ad hoc and targeted projects to assist senior management in business decision-making.
Required Skills:

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work autonomously, think critically, and derive meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Financial and Business Acumen: Capability to assess financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable insights to drive outcomes.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Proficiency in applying logical reasoning and sound methodologies to resolve complex issues with effective solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to establish constructive and effective relationships with a diverse group of business partners, including senior management.
  • Presentation Skills: Competence in delivering presentations in various settings, including one-on-one, small groups, and larger audiences.
Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred; a minimum of a B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in FP&A, with a minimum of 2 years supporting a rapidly growing organization, preferably in a go-to-market capacity.
  • High proficiency in FP&A systems is required; experience with Anaplan and Tableau is advantageous.
  • Strong financial data management, modeling, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel and proficient PowerPoint skills are essential.
  • Experience with Clari, NetSuite, and Coupa is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth technology/software/SaaS environment is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base salary range for this position varies based on location and experience. Okta also offers equity (where applicable), bonuses, and comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and paid leave, in accordance with our policies.
