Location: This position offers flexibility to work remotely or from our San Francisco office.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst II to enhance our expanding finance division. This role involves active participation in the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, focusing on the creation of financial forecasts and models that guide the organization in strategic planning and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the formulation of NerdWallet's corporate financial forecasts and overall fiscal outlook.
  • Evaluate financial opportunities and risks, analyze business performance metrics, and support reporting to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to facilitate the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, alongside annual and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Act as the financial liaison for General and Administrative departments, aiding in monthly forecasting and annual planning while providing strategic financial guidance for departmental projects.
  • Assist the Investor Relations team with ongoing and quarterly assessments of financial and operational trends.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of our long-term financial model to ensure alignment with key strategic goals.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls while driving process enhancements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint or Google Sheets and Slides.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Desire to develop intricate financial models.
  • Able to collaborate across various departments to address challenges and achieve outcomes.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance.
  • Experience in forecasting and maintaining financial models.
  • Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Pigment, Oracle ERP, or similar).
  • Possession of CPA and/or CFA credentials is preferred.
