At Burpee, we're seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Specialist to drive the success of our digital and direct marketing initiatives for our direct-to-consumer channels. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for enhancing our website's SEO, updating on-site content to support digital marketing campaigns, deploying engaging email campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, and optimizing our channel strategies to reach gardeners everywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the digital marketing manager in establishing, evaluating, and executing SEO opportunities.
  • Provide general web marketing and category merchandising optimization and maintenance support.
  • Review inventory for campaign items and optimize category landing pages before deployment.
  • Input and publish new and existing product updates.
  • Utilize ESP to support building, testing, and scheduling marketing emails.
  • Assist with affiliate marketing initiatives such as publisher roster optimization.
  • Check inventory for all items featured in campaigns and optimize category landing pages before deployment.
  • Track competitor messaging and promotions by channel.
  • Create slides for presentations, run reports, and compile data points.
  • Support dynamic content and A/B testing initiatives.
  • Support ecommerce promotional discount set-up, activate promotion rules, test functionality, and update website promo banners.
  • General marketing tasks as required such as organizing meetings, data entry, supporting marketing events and activations, and partner communication.
  • All other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Ecommerce marketing experience is highly preferred, particularly with a focus on driving sales through digital platforms.
  • Preferred candidates have hands-on experience with Google Analytics, including analyzing user behavior, and reporting website performance.
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Strong time management skills to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with the ability to create documents, presentations, and dashboards.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Trello, Asana, or Monday.com is preferred but not required.
  • Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, strong interpersonal relationship skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills and capable of working independently while effectively collaborating with teams.
