We are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of innovation and excellence. Key Responsibilities:
  • Recommend improvements in process and product quality to increase First Time Through (FTT).
  • Provide support in establishing Critical to Quality measures (CTQ), Key Process Characteristics (KPC), and control plans.
  • Reduce claims, remakes, scrap, and deviations from standard work to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in critical work center Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Effectively detect and solve standard quality issues using quality strategies, tools, and techniques.
  • Stabilize processes and implement statistical process controls (SPC) to establish and maintain process capability.
  • Apply inspection, measurement, and sampling methods and participate in method improvements.
  • Participate in developing robust processes as part of the New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Manage and provide support to ISO 17025 Quality Management System.
  • Actively participate in Nadcap process/procedures and recommend improvements to the labs processes.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; four-year degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Practical understanding of engineering principles, standards, methods, and practices.
  • Practical understanding of Quality management systems.
  • Practical understanding of Nadcap requirements.
  • Practical understanding of mechanical testing.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Knowledge of discipline problem-solving methods.
  • Ability to participate in or facilitate cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving skills include check sheet, Pareto diagram, cause-and-effect diagram, graphs, control charts, histogram, and scatter diagram.
  • Ability to apply continuous improvement methods.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to perform independent work.
  • Ability to work in a production environment.
  • Ability to operate a computer workstation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic project management skills.
