About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Career Development efforts at Columbus State University. As the Director of the Center for Career Design, you will be responsible for providing vision and leadership for the Center, making it the hub for comprehensive career development for students from their first year to alumni status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with academic units and employers to develop workforce pipelines and cultivate jobs and internship opportunities for students.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive career development program that supports all students and alumni.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to expand experiential learning opportunities and increase student participation.
  • Establish metrics and assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of career development initiatives and activities.
  • Supervise Center employees and provide leadership to the Center's programs and services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree required or Bachelor's degree with years of related equivalent experience.
  • Professional experience in higher education, career development, recruitment/hiring, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of supervisory/management/leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of supervisory/management/leadership experience.
  • Experience working closely with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge in career coaching, career development program planning, and employer relations.
