StepStone Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Guest Services Representative to become a vital part of our welcoming team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check-in and assign accommodations to guests.
- Provide room keys and escort instructions to guests or Guest Service Agents.
- Organize and manage incoming correspondence and messages.
- Facilitate communication through various channels.
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, check-in procedures, and local attractions.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and pricing.
- Calculate bills, process payments, and provide change as necessary.
- Handle reservations through multiple communication methods.
- Post charges for services such as lodging, dining, and telecommunication to guest accounts when systems are down.
- Assist guests with transportation and entertainment bookings.
- Safeguard guest valuables in secure storage.
- Utilize various office software proficiently.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of nightly operations, including audit procedures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Familiarity with the Opera property management system is advantageous.
- Proficient command of the English language for effective communication with guests and team members.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to assist with diverse administrative tasks as required.
- Willingness to participate in mandatory meetings.
- Commitment to completing projects and assignments with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and adapt to change.
- Take initiative for personal and professional development.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Relevant experience and additional training are preferred.
- CPR and first aid certification are a plus.
