What Defines a McKibbon Front Desk Representative?

The front desk representative serves as the initial point of contact for guests. As the welcoming face of the establishment, this role requires a personable demeanor and a strong passion for customer interaction. You will be tasked with engaging with guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly.

A Typical Day Includes:

  • Anticipating guests' needs and responding swiftly to their inquiries.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with guests at all times.
  • Addressing and resolving guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Possessing comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities, operating hours, room rates, special offers, and daily activities.
  • Processing guest check-ins and verifying registration details.
  • Managing overbooked situations or guests needing alternative accommodations.
  • Recording wake-up call requests accurately.
  • Communicating essential guest information to relevant departments.
  • Resolving discrepancies in room status reports with housekeeping.
  • Training in Food and Beverage operations to assist as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a front desk role or similar position.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
  • Experience in a hotel environment is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism.
  • Capability to input and retrieve information in property management systems.
