Clinical Assistant Professor of Middle Grades and Secondary Education

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor to join our Department of Middle Grades and Secondary Education at Georgia Southern University. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for teaching four courses in the fall and spring semesters and contributing to the department's service, research, and community engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Teach four courses in the fall and spring semesters
- Contribute to departmental service, research, and community engagement initiatives
- Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials
- Mentor and advise students
- Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives
- Earned doctorate in Secondary Education or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours related to middle grades or secondary education
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development
- Specialization in English Language Arts, Social Studies, or Science Education
