Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy to join our faculty at Georgia Southern University. As a member of our physical therapist education program, you will play a critical role in providing student-centered education that addresses the challenges of the rapidly changing healthcare system.
Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in the physical therapist education program
- Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional materials
- Engage in scholarly activities and professional development
- Participate in departmental and university service activities
- Earned DPT in physical therapy
- Active, unrestricted PT license and eligibility for a Georgia PT license
- Contemporary expertise in gross human anatomy and physiology, human neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, and willingness to engage in human cadaver dissection
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development
- Progress toward or completion of an academic doctorate (e.g. DHS, EdD, PhD)
- Advanced certification or fellowship in a specialty area of physical therapy or related to anatomy instruction
- Experience in full-time teaching/administration in a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant program
