POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Retail Sales Specialist is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to our patrons while showcasing the advantages of joining our exclusive membership program. This role requires expertise in product knowledge and involves executing account management and various membership processes, including onboarding new members, driving sales, enhancing customer experiences, mentoring peers, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive and efficient shopping experience for all guests.
  • Proactively engages with customers, presenting them with the opportunity to enroll in our membership program or offering current members a distinctive and exclusive experience.
  • Implements all operational and compliance initiatives related to the membership program.
  • Showcases products effectively to customers.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of promotional offers.
  • Aims to achieve personal and store performance metrics.
  • Ensures accurate inventory management and maintains an organized and tidy membership area.
  • Delivers a comprehensive membership experience, including processing payments, addressing account inquiries, and handling applications.
  • Provides timely and precise feedback and reports.
  • Offers peer support, recognition, and guidance as a representative of the membership program.
  • Assists in various store areas based on operational needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years in a customer service role.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
  • Self-motivated and proactive when working independently.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift to assist customers on the sales floor.
  • Effective hearing to communicate with others and exchange information.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Consistent assessment of work accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Light lifting and moving of objects up to 20 pounds regularly.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders or stairs.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:

  • Performs tasks under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and creativity. Makes choices from limited options to address issues. Occasionally applies independent judgment to complete assignments and often recommends improvements to work processes and policies.
