Job Overview

Tarkett is in search of a skilled and strategic Production Supervisor to enhance our team at the Dalton Manufacturing Plant. This pivotal role involves leading team members to meet customer satisfaction, safety standards, and production goals while aligning with Tarkett's strategic vision and objectives. The Supervisor will actively guide, support, train, and direct their assigned team to implement operational plans effectively. This position will champion continuous improvement through World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles while fostering strong relationships among associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving daily production schedules and efficiently managing resource allocation.
  • Identifying issues, gathering qualitative and quantitative data to establish facts, and taking decisive actions.
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting daily performance using WCM Shop Floor Management Tools.
  • Overseeing shift performance reporting and management.
  • Assessing and coordinating team training needs to promote continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating closely with Engineering and Maintenance to enhance and document production processes and equipment functionality.
  • Providing necessary coaching and guidance, while ensuring consistent documentation within the corrective action framework.
  • Enhancing record-keeping procedures to ensure organizational efficiency and compliance with ISO standards.
  • Understanding and communicating compliance issues related to company policies.
  • Engaging in projects and process improvements to drive change and enhance outcomes.
  • Demonstrating a proactive leadership style in identifying, resolving, and communicating issues across the facility.
  • Mentoring, developing, and training team members.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • Required bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
  • 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and familiarity with ADP/SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret product specifications, production schedules, quality documentation, and other performance-related documents in English.
  • Competence in effectively presenting information, addressing inquiries, and interacting with employees, managers, and peers.
  • Experience with quality frameworks such as ISO9001, ISO14000, ISO18000.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Visual Shop Floor Management, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
