Job Overview

Position Title: Manufacturing Team Leader

As a Manufacturing Team Leader, you will oversee the performance of production staff, including machine operators. Your responsibilities will encompass recruitment, training, and personnel management. You will also be involved in mechanical and technical adjustments for machine setups, changeovers, troubleshooting, and ensuring product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage production teams effectively.
  • Assign tasks and monitor their completion to meet production and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve quality defects and production challenges associated with injection molding machinery.
  • Collaborate with operators, process technicians, maintenance personnel, engineers, and management to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Supervise the operation of robotics and manage injection molding equipment to guarantee the quality of the final product.
Essential Skills
  • Expertise in production supervision.
  • Ability to delegate tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in process enhancement techniques.
  • Experience in troubleshooting production and quality issues.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and technical adjustments in manufacturing settings.
  • Preferred background in plastics manufacturing or injection molding.
Position Type

This role is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.

Work Environment

The position is fully on-site. The work environment is clean and partially climate-controlled, with potential heat increases during warmer months. The facility is well-maintained, and the atmosphere can be busy during initial production ramp-up phases.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $33-$36, based on experience

Shift Details

Shifts available include:

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to approximately midnight
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM to approximately 9:00 AM
Schedule

The typical workweek is Monday through Friday, with potential overtime on Saturdays during peak production periods.
