Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design, implement, optimize, and sustain cloud-based solutions.
  • Oversee the deployment and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructures, educating teams on new cloud initiatives while ensuring robust security measures.
  • Guarantee the effective operation of data storage and processing functions in line with established security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • Provide implementation and administrative support for all AWS Cloud services, including data warehousing and data pipelines, addressing issues and managing user access and security.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (IaC) and services, employing industry-leading practices to ensure seamless application integration across the architecture.
  • Establish and maintain a CICD (Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery) pipeline for all systems, software, services, and infrastructure, utilizing hyper-automation techniques.
  • Utilize quality and security gates to manage decision points within the CICD pipeline.
  • Install and manage open-source monitoring tools, developing scripts to automate and orchestrate daily operational tasks using AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform, or Chef.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all systems, services, software, and infrastructure through effective management, patching, preventative maintenance, monitoring, and real-time issue resolution.
  • Serve as the engineer for complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment.
  • Conduct research, design, and prototype innovative solutions to facilitate application growth and enhance customer experience.
  • Identify weaknesses in tooling that necessitate changes to the overall architecture, acting as a liaison between development and operations teams.
  • Empower developers with the best tools while ensuring system uptime and performance.
  • Work as part of an integrated agile project team, supporting daily operational incident, change, and problem management.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to develop comprehensive production support processes, documentation, and operational plans, including monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Manage user access, security, release, and schedules.
  • Adhere to established CMS standards for implementing cloud configurations, architecture, and security.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps with AWS cloud architectures, CI/CD pipelines, log aggregation, monitoring, and security tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in cloud components, including DevSecOps scripts and S3 access management.
  • Proficient with tools such as AWS, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, Jenkins, Git, and security scanning tools.
  • Experience in data organization, partitioning strategies, and data retention policies for data pipelines.
  • Strong investigative skills to diagnose AWS Cloud issues and perform impact analysis for proposed changes.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.

Desired Qualifications:
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Certification.

eSimplicity supports a remote work environment, primarily operating within the Eastern time zone to effectively collaborate with our government clients. Expected working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed.

Occasional travel for training and project meetings may be required, estimated to be less than 5% per year.

Candidates should be prepared to participate in on-call rotations during business hours and as needed for high-priority incidents outside of normal hours.
