Culinary Operations Steward

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Restaurants and Concessions Manager, the Culinary Operations Steward plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the back-of-house areas within Food and Beverage facilities. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational efficiency.
Compensation: This role offers an hourly wage of $25.47.
Part-Time Benefits: Eligible for 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly cleans pots, pans, and kitchen equipment; ensures that workspaces and storage areas are organized and tidy.
- Manually washes dishes or operates dishwashing machines after scraping and rinsing food residues.
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen floors and dining areas, including various branded locations.
- Responsible for disposing of waste from all back-of-house restaurant areas.
- Performs end-of-night cleaning of floor mats and restaurant spaces as needed.
- Sanitizes garbage bins and waste containers.
- Ensures comprehensive cleaning and sanitation of all restaurant spaces, including storage, hallways, and elevators.
- Regularly cleans and sanitizes restaurant coolers, discarding expired items.
- Sanitizes restrooms and locker rooms as directed.
- Follows established cleaning schedules diligently.
- Properly stores all cleaning equipment in designated areas.
- Completes dish machine logs as required.
- Undertakes additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations and measurements.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow directions and perform tasks effectively.
- Capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with a sense of urgency.
- Exhibits a friendly demeanor and adheres to uniform standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in identifying and solving undefined tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to push 25 pounds.
- Capable of maneuvering heavy wheeled carts (200+ pounds).
