THE ROLE: As the Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated culinary department and work in close collaboration with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to maintain and elevate our quality benchmarks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership and Management: Assist senior culinary leadership by taking on essential management duties. Guide, mentor, and develop the culinary team to achieve excellence.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Serve as a crucial link between the culinary team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Supervision and Execution: Oversee the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes for banquets and outlets, ensuring consistency and high quality.
- Menu Innovation: Design and implement creative menu items that align with Hyatt's brand standards and delight our guests.
- Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute special events and holiday functions with precision and flair.
- Team Management: Supervise hourly kitchen staff, including scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluations, and hiring.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily food production, ordering, cost management, and quality assurance to uphold high standards.
- Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that all kitchen facilities and equipment comply with safety and sanitation regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or sous chef role, preferably in a hotel or high-volume banquet environment.
- Extensive knowledge of all kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in training, financial management, and customer service.
- A passion for exceeding guest expectations in a fast-paced setting.
- Consistent ability to produce high-quality dishes promptly.
- Culinary education and/or substantial on-the-job training, preferably with hotel experience.
- Proven banquet operations experience in a luxury hotel or restaurant setting.
- Certification in Food Safety and Sanitation is required.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
