Team Overview:


The Payability Finance team is accountable for several essential functions within the organization, including accounting, financial reporting, risk management, collections, and treasury operations.

The Senior Financial Accountant role is pivotal in preparing, monitoring, and analyzing the organization's cash requirements, primarily through the daily borrowing base process, various accounting responsibilities, managing cash flow between subsidiaries, tracking customer receipts and funding, as well as maintaining and analyzing diverse financial models and management reports.

This position will report to and collaborate closely with the Controller.

Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive, energetic, and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare the daily borrowing base and related reporting, assess the Company's liquidity status, oversee month-end closing processes, and foster collaborative relationships with third-party vendors and team members.

You will also be tasked with creating and updating the Company's financial models and dashboard reports.

Additionally, the Senior Financial Accountant will manage significant data and reporting requests from our investors and senior leadership across various organizational functions.

In this role, you will be encouraged to build and automate your workflows to ensure efficient and timely recording of accounting entries, reporting, and analysis.

You will be empowered to derive new insights that will assist the team in enhancing company reporting.

Moreover, you will be expected to propose and implement solutions to improve or replace existing processes.

We are highly focused on process enhancements and creating efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized and methodical.

We seek someone eager to learn and committed to assisting the finance team in providing relevant data to senior management for better business management.

A keen interest in technology and a strong motivation to automate tasks wherever feasible are essential. You should possess analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex information and data signals to produce actionable insights. Lastly, you must be mission-driven and have experience working in dynamic, cross-functional teams.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Strong accounting background
Experience with SQL (e.g., Looker, BigQuery, Python) for data extraction, manipulation, and transformation into actionable insights, dashboards, and spreadsheets
Extensive experience in automation and process improvement
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Consolidation experience
Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar
CPA or all four parts passed
High proficiency with dashboards and spreadsheets
Advanced Excel skills
3+ years of relevant experience
Strong attention to detail and appreciation for accurate accounting records and reporting
Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results promptly
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Ability to thrive in rapidly changing conditions
Passionate about the fintech and eCommerce sectors.
