As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will oversee the daily accounting functions of the organization, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, conducting account reconciliations, and performing balance sheet assessments.
Your role will be essential during the month-end closing process, collaborating closely with the VP of Global Control. You will also engage with our international finance team and external auditors to guarantee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
Operating as a private equity-backed entity, we function both domestically and globally, seeking a Senior Accountant well-versed in US GAAP, capable of navigating the intricacies of a SaaS business and an expanding organization.
We are in search of individuals with robust technical accounting expertise who are enthusiastic about enhancing processes to promote efficiency and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily accounting operations, assisting with the month-end closing process, financial reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Collaborate with senior finance management and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial statement preparation.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring precise recording of all financial transactions. Review and confirm the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and analyses.
- Work closely with FP&A to perform monthly financial reviews and analyses, assisting in annual budget preparation and forecasting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in evaluating, recommending, maintaining, and monitoring appropriate internal controls.
- Review and enhance existing accounting processes with a focus on optimization, automation, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a senior accounting role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP standards.
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with global operations and multiple entities is preferred.
