Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist will oversee the upkeep of both machinery and facility infrastructure. This role encompasses troubleshooting and maintaining various tools and equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Apply advanced expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex machinery, including electrical/PLC systems, mechanical components, welding, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics, and conveyor systems.

· Work in conjunction with engineering teams to address maintenance challenges, enhance equipment reliability, refine procedures, and reduce equipment downtime through analytical approaches.

· Administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), which includes generating work orders, uploading relevant documentation, and managing parts inventory.

· Support inventory management by cataloging parts and ordering necessary replacements and supplies.

· Provide mentorship to junior maintenance technicians regarding equipment and advanced manufacturing systems.

· Reconstruct machinery, tools, and heavy equipment, as well as develop specialized tools to facilitate production processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

· A High School Diploma or GED is required; completion of a trade school program is preferred.

· A minimum of 3 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical systems, tools, or machinery is required.

· Prior experience operating forklifts is mandatory.

· Proficient in basic computer operations, with the ability to perform arithmetic calculations in various units of measure.

· Capable of interpreting diverse instructions effectively.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· This role is an individual contributor position, functioning as a team member without oversight of others or management responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· This position involves Heavy Work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Physical Activities

· The role requires various physical activities, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.

Visual Acuity

· The worker must possess visual acuity to perform tasks such as operating machinery like lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills, where the job requires close visual attention.

WORKING CONDITIONS

· The worker will be exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards typical of a production environment.
