Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist

Overview of the Role:

As a Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with application leaders, system administrators, database administrators, developers, and testers to ensure that the designated systems meet security compliance standards and secure the Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Adhering to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for various testing scenarios including full, partial, continuous monitoring, and no testing.
  • Updating compliance documentation within Xacta, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTMs), Security Test Plans (STPs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
  • Incorporating artifacts such as Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists and Automated Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans.
  • Assisting in the application of STIG checklists and addressing identified vulnerabilities.
  • Providing guidance to ensure that systems are developed with integrated security compliance.
  • Supporting security evaluation activities and addressing inquiries from the Program Assessment Team (PAT), Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), and Security Control Assessors (SCAs).

Qualifications and Experience:

To qualify for this challenging position, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

Required Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 14 years of relevant experience is required with a Bachelor's degree. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for education: High School diploma with 18 years; Associate's degree with 16 years; Master's degree with 12 years; PhD with 10 years.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Full-time work in a secure facility is required, though hours are flexible.
  • Possession of Security+ or another IAT II/III level certification that is currently valid.
  • Demonstrated experience in formulating, implementing, and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard organizational information assets.
  • A proven history of conducting risk assessments and identifying vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Experience in developing and overseeing the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • A strong background in monitoring systems and networks for security breaches and suspicious activities.
  • A successful track record of responding to security incidents, investigating root causes, and executing corrective measures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Xacta.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience in conducting audits and assessments to verify compliance with security requirements.

Compensation Range:

Compensation is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
