IMPACT OF A CYBERSECURITY MALWARE ANALYSIS SPECIALIST:
- Provide clients with insights into existing malware and implement effective countermeasures.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities. When critical malware threats arise, collaborate with various segments of the security team to devise suitable solutions. A strong passion for technology and the ability to quickly adapt to new security solutions are essential.
- Identify typical behavior patterns commonly associated with malware.
- Gather Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) through forensic analysis, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) assessments, and research on previously reported IOCs.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with other Cyber Network Defense Service Providers (CNDSPs) and Intelligence Community (IC) agencies regarding malicious activities and share emerging Cyber Threat Intelligence.
- Contribute to the formulation of IOCs for active defensive measures and passive detection protocols.
- Available shifts include Day or Swing shifts.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's Degree accompanied by 15+ years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience will be evaluated.
- Mandatory certifications include DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT III (CASP, CISSP, CISA, etc.) and DoD Approved Baseline 8570 CSSP Analyst (CEH, CySA, GCIH, etc.) prior to commencement.
- GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) or equivalent certification is required within the first 120 days of employment.
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency in malware reverse engineering and familiarity with contemporary tools and operational requirements.
- Ability to pinpoint vulnerabilities in software and hardware, alongside analyzing and reverse engineering software and hardware systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the capability to collaborate with team members as well as work independently.
- Basic understanding of standard network infrastructure.
- Knowledgeable in monitoring emerging threats through Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and their relation to the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
- Familiarity with debuggers, disassemblers, linkers, and loaders.
- Understanding of domain masquerading, certificates, and file hashing.
- Strong written communication skills are vital for accurate documentation and reporting of malware findings.

EXPECTED SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this position is $176,446 - $218,500, which may vary based on experience, geographic location, and contractual obligations.
