Position: Cybersecurity Training Specialist
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Awareness:
• Design and implement security training programs for developers, IT personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Develop educational materials, documentation, and presentations to inform teams about best practices in vulnerability management.
• Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization via ongoing education initiatives.
2. Vulnerability Management:
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans of IT systems and applications.
• Evaluate vulnerability scan outcomes, prioritize risks, and coordinate remediation efforts with relevant teams.
• Establish and maintain a thorough vulnerability management program.
• Monitor and report on the status of vulnerabilities and remediation actions.
3. Security Advisory:
• Provide expert guidance on vulnerability management best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Assist in the formulation and execution of security policies and procedures related to vulnerability management.
4. Incident Response:
• Support the investigation and response to security incidents associated with vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the incident response team to identify root causes and implement preventive strategies.
5. Compliance and Auditing:
• Ensure adherence to relevant security standards, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
