Job Title: Sr. Manager, Network and Telecom
Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Network and Telecom position is a key IT leadership role in Terumo IT. This role is accountable for the development, design, and implementation of the company's global network and telecommunications infrastructure.
This role necessitates strong collaboration with key business partners, internal tech teams, and external vendors to enhance processes and leverage technology for digital progress.
In addition, the position is accountable for the continuous monitoring and operation of these global solutions. This is a pivotal IT leadership role that requires both technical expertise and strong business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the strategic vision and roadmap for the company's network and telecom systems to align with overall business objectives.
- Overseeing the architecture, design, and deployment of robust, scalable network and telecom solutions worldwide.
- Managing a team of network and telecom specialists to ensure high availability, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure globally.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with other IT leaders and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver innovative technology solutions.
- Monitoring industry trends and making recommendations to continuously optimize the network and telecom capabilities.
- Responsible for ensuring problem identification, isolation, and resolution with formal root cause analysis within the service level objectives for routers, switches, load balancers, wireless, and associated network equipment at all Terumo BCT sites/locations, both domestic and international.
- Act as primary point of contact for internal and external technical issues, stay familiarized with industry trends to offer insights on optimal tool deployment, establish partnerships with third-party service providers when necessary.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of existing processes developed by the department, assess business needs, and propose technical solutions to senior management based on your analysis.
- Responsible for managing network/telecom vendors to insure they meet established service level agreements, as well as managing their related licensing agreements.
- Responsible for enterprise telephony systems globally, including call center functionality.
- Ensures the appropriate creation and maintenance of function's technical and training documentation.
- Responsible for the monitoring of network and telecom infrastructure as well as summarizing and reporting on the performance statistics.
- Acts as IT service owner for network engineering and telecom teams in executing IT Service Management processes.
- Is responsible for product owner role in agile methodology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of infrastructure network design, implementation, and team management in a global environment.
- Must have ability to learn and stay up to date on industry IT standards, cybersecurity protocols, and regulatory & legal requirements that could impact IT operations.
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of IT network systems and remain updated on enterprise-level platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of LAN (local area network), WAN (wide area network), and telecom circuit terminology, technology, and procedures.
- Requires an in-depth knowledge of routing/switching technologies, including static, OSPF, and BGP.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of ZTNA and SASE concepts and implementations such as SD-WAN, SSE capabilities and solutions, network segmentation, VPN solutions and alternatives, and latest cloud network and security practices.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of wireless networking solutions and standards to include IEEE g/n/ac/ax, authorization, and authentication methods.
- Applies highly professional business and/or technical knowledge when working with clients, other ITS groups, and vendors in activities such as identifying options, selection, analyzing, designing, installation, maintenance, and testing of information technology solutions specific to network/telecom requirements.
- Ability to monitor and interpret network performance data to identify real and potential problem areas and make improvements.
- Strong understanding of network security issues and risks and the ability to implement hardware and software solutions to minimize this risk.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and recommend changes in an existing, changing, or emerging environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business/technical problems and select, design, or implement information technology solutions in accordance with business needs.
- Knowledge of enterprise phone systems.
- Understanding of IT cloud concepts, designs, and implementations.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple business disciplines.
- Requires ability to lead projects.
- Requires ability to educate and train others.
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Target Pay Range: $154,400.00 to $193,000.00, salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Target Bonus on Base: 20.0%
