Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Director to lead our HR functions and support the growth of our team in Albany, NY. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in setting up and managing our remote operations office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the establishment of our remote operations office in Albany, including setting up HR systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and manage compensation structures, including salary benchmarks, bonuses, and incentives.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns and grievances.
  • Implement performance management processes, including evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to guide decision-making and improve HR practices.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in HR management, with a focus on recruitment, compensation, and benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience in setting up and managing HR functions for a remote office or start-up environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
