Key Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Advocate for Envoy's mortgage solutions to real estate professionals, prospective homebuyers, and other referral partners.
  • Identify and secure new loan applications through presentations and meetings with potential referral sources, including realtors and financial advisors.
  • Inform borrowers about current mortgage products and eligibility criteria.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts comply with industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of new loan applications and related documentation in the origination system.
  • Review ongoing loans daily to establish priorities.
  • Conduct document audits and address discrepancies to approve or deny loan packages for funding.
  • Process Change of Circumstances (CoC) and resubmit loan packages in compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Issue Decline/Rejection letters to borrowers who do not meet the necessary criteria, adhering to industry standards.
  • Request and manage credit reports, appraisals, and other necessary documentation.
  • Refer loans that do not meet basic standards to underwriting.
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, borrowers, and agents to facilitate loan processing.
  • Analyze loan files and submit completed applications for approval.
  • Respond to inquiries from agents and borrowers regarding loan status.
  • Keep all files updated and stay informed about FHA, VA, and conventional guidelines that may impact loan processing.
  • Gather necessary information from borrowers to complete applications and disclosures, coordinating with processing and underwriting teams.
  • Monitor loan progress and communicate effectively with all parties involved.
  • Present comprehensive and accurate files to the processing team.
  • Maintain an active NMLS license and stay updated on required education and industry changes.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to the position.
  • Uphold Envoy's standards, including production targets and customer service excellence.
  • Conduct business ethically, aligning with Envoy's core values.
  • Stay informed on personal finance principles to provide well-rounded mortgage advice.
  • May require working remotely for over 50% of the time, primarily commission-based.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Loan Originator, Loan Officer Assistant, or Processor; 5+ years preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and related processes.
  • Familiarity with Desktop Underwriter/Desktop Originator (DU/DO), Loan Prospector (LP), and originating systems; Encompass experience is a plus.
  • Strong follow-up, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adept at using social media.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in a collaborative environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities and proficient communication skills.
  • Able to analyze challenges and develop effective solutions while managing multiple tasks.
  • Must possess NMLS and SAFE, UST preferred, or be able to obtain the necessary state NMLS license shortly after employment.

Physical Requirements:

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. Regular duties involve sitting, using hands for various tasks, reaching, and communicating. Occasional standing, walking, climbing, and balancing may be required.

Compensation:
  • Regular Pay: $7.25 - $15.00/hour
