Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our team at America Customs Brokerage. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of customs entries and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • File ISF's and entries in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
  • Process in-bound entries, including I.T. and T.E. entries, and Type 86 entries with Air AMS/ACAS.
  • Correspond with CBP, U.S. agents, freight forwarders, and customers to resolve any issues and ensure a seamless customs process.
  • Classify imports in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and file PGA information, including FDA, EPA, and Fish & Wildlife data.
  • Stay up-to-date on reports and updates to importers, ensuring our clients are informed and compliant.
  • Independently identify and resolve issues, providing solutions to ensure compliance and minimize delays.
  • Perform light accounts receivable duties, posting entries and maintaining accurate records for our clients.
  • Monitor, track, and trace all shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all regulations.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in trade compliance software and systems.
