Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Bravura Information Technology Systems, Inc. as a GCCS-J COP Database Administrator. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in database administration, system analysis, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration
    • Administer and maintain the GCCS-J COP database, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Develop and implement database security protocols to protect sensitive information.
    • Monitor database systems for GCCS and provide service availability reporting to the Government.
  • System Analysis
    • Analyze business and user needs to identify database requirements and develop solutions.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system scope and objectives.
    • Develop and implement database solutions to meet business needs.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide technical support for GCCS-J COP database systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
    • Collaborate with the Joint Support Service Center (JSSC) for software upgrades and maintenance.
    • Develop and implement technical documentation for database systems.
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Government officials, contractors, and internal teams.
    • Provide regular status reports on system updates and failures.
    • Collaborate with external organizations and users who have oversight of the DoDIN-A.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
    • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new technologies and solutions.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in database administration, system analysis, and technical support.
  • Skills
    • Strong background in database administration, including database design, development, and maintenance.
    • Experience with GCCS-J COP database systems and related technologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work effectively in a team setting and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
