About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our machine shop operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our machinists and ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of machinists to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to improve their skills and productivity.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve overall performance.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management to support quality control and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or machining, with a focus on aerospace components.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in managing teams and driving results.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and equipment, including precision hand tools and CAD/CAM software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to read and understand technical documentation and blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with nickel-based stainless steel alloys, copper, and titanium machining.
  • Knowledge of tooling and fixture design, as well as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen principles.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and CMM programming/operation.
  • Outside processing knowledge, including heat treating, plating, coating, EDM, and grinding.
