Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Manager to join our team at Community Association For Preschool Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of early childhood education services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supervising a team of education specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive early childhood education programs, including curriculum development and staff training.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of education specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality services.
  • Ensure compliance with Head Start and California State Funded Preschool Program regulations, including monitoring and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and other senior staff to develop and implement agency-wide strategies and initiatives.
  • Represent the agency at local, regional, and state-level meetings and events, promoting the organization's mission and values.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including schools, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in early childhood education, applying this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in early childhood education, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of Head Start and California State Funded Preschool Program regulations, as well as experience with program monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bi-lingual skills a plus.
