Position Summary:

The Project Manager at Diverzify is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of industrial flooring projects. This includes managing resources, materials, and ensuring compliance with specifications while adhering to timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between clients, the company, and the installation crew, ensuring smooth daily operations and assisting the sales team with project adjustments to maintain profitability.
  • Communicate with suppliers to verify product availability, track materials, and ensure all necessary equipment is on-site before the crew begins work.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Administer installation contracts effectively.
  • Supervise crew members, assess their performance, and address any conduct issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and rectify any violations promptly.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets to guarantee timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Provide regular updates to the Sales and Corporate Management teams regarding project status and any required adjustments.
  • Oversee the submittal process, including samples and warranty information.
  • Order and expedite materials, ensuring compatibility and tracking orders efficiently.
  • Coordinate job schedules with clients and contractors to align project timelines.
  • Identify necessary steps to meet project deadlines and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
  • Conduct follow-ups with suppliers to manage multiple shipments effectively.
  • Arrange freight for product deliveries in a timely and economical manner.
  • Source installers for remote projects and negotiate terms.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project details and ensure all information is organized and accessible.
  • Prepare job folders for invoicing, verifying accuracy and addressing any additional charges.
  • Handle repair requests and determine accountability for repairs, including cost estimation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the flooring installation or construction sector.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong initiative and a willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for accurate product calculations.
  • Familiarity with installation procedures and flooring products.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management.
