Position Summary

The Educational Program Coordinator is tasked with the management, coordination, execution, and assessment of all educational initiatives at ART Inc. This role acts as the primary contact between ART Inc and local educational institutions, ensuring the smooth operation of the ART Inc educational programs. The Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of program personnel and oversees multiple school locations serving approximately 400 students in grades K-8.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Program Director

Employment Type: Full Time

This position also plays a key role in coordinating various programs at The Romain Arts & Culture Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, mentorship, and effective onboarding for independent contractors (teaching artists) to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with staff from local educational institutions.
  • Deliver weekly updates and reports to the Program Director.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to strategize, develop, implement, and evaluate program initiatives.
  • Conduct regular visits to assigned schools to monitor program implementation.
  • Manage crisis situations involving independent contractors effectively.
  • Perform administrative tasks including timesheet management, supply orders, and outreach efforts.
  • Assess program goals and objectives, identifying issues and proposing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Create promotional materials such as flyers and brochures for educational programs.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure program success.
  • Build relationships with donors, partners, and local businesses.
  • Participate in community events and job fairs to promote ART Inc programs.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies to raise community awareness about ART Inc's mission and programs.
  • Engage in staff meetings and contribute to special events.
  • Support and uphold the policies and values of ART Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Strong judgment and initiative.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and collaborate with team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Canva, and One Drive, or willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic non-profit environment.
  • Experience with social media promotion for educational programs.
  • Willingness to network and engage new instructors and audiences.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, leadership, and a commitment to ART Inc's mission.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
