Position Summary

The Educational Program Coordinator is tasked with the oversight of the design, coordination, execution, and assessment of all educational initiatives at ART Inc. This role serves as the primary contact between ART Inc and local educational institutions, ensuring the operational effectiveness of the educational programs. The Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of teaching artists and manages a network of 8 educational sites serving approximately 400 students in grades K-8.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Program Director

Employment Type: Full Time

The Coordinator also plays a vital role in supporting all programs hosted at The Romain Arts & Culture Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, mentorship, and coaching to independent contractors (teaching artists) to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with staff from local educational institutions.
  • Deliver weekly updates and reports to the Program Director.
  • Work alongside the Program Director to strategize, develop, implement, and evaluate program initiatives.
  • Conduct site visits to each assigned school at least twice a week, or more frequently based on the number of educators at each location.
  • Manage crisis situations involving independent contractors effectively.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including timesheet management, supply orders, and outreach efforts.
  • Assess program goals and objectives, identifying challenges and formulating corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Create promotional materials such as flyers and brochures for educational programs.
  • Collaborate within a team to ensure the success of all programs.
  • Build relationships with donors, partners, and local businesses.
  • Participate in community events and job fairs to promote ART Inc programs.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies to raise awareness of ART Inc's mission and programs.
  • Engage in staff meetings and contribute to special events.
  • Support and uphold the policies and values of ART Inc.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Strong judgment and initiative.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and collaborate with others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Canva, and One Drive, or a willingness to learn.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic non-profit environment.
