About the Position
The City of Peoria is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment for youth through our comprehensive programs. We are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee our licensed before and after school initiatives for children aged 5-14 at local elementary schools. This role involves collaboration with educational staff to enrich program offerings and ensure a safe, engaging atmosphere for participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in a variety of activities, including play, literacy, arts and crafts, and STEAM projects.
- Work closely with Recreation Leaders to enhance program delivery and participant experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service to children and their families, fostering a positive environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be at least 21 years of age, and meet the qualifications to serve as a site director in accordance with DHS regulations. We value individuals who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and can maintain a positive demeanor in all interactions.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Hold a CPR/First Aid certificate.
- Provide a valid negative TB test result.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to DHS guidelines and practices.
