Position Summary

The Educational Program Coordinator is tasked with the comprehensive management of ART Inc's educational initiatives. This role acts as the primary connection between ART Inc and local educational institutions, ensuring the effective execution and assessment of the In The Schools program. The Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of teaching artists, overseeing operations across multiple school locations serving approximately 400 students in grades K-8.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Program Director

Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training and mentorship for independent contractors (teaching artists) to enhance classroom delivery and ensure high-quality educational experiences.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with staff from local schools.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Program Director regarding program status.
  • Work alongside the Program Director to strategize, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs.
  • Conduct site visits to each assigned school at least twice weekly, adjusting frequency based on the number of teachers present.
  • Manage crisis situations involving independent contractors effectively.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including timesheet management, supply procurement, and outreach efforts.
  • Assess program goals and objectives, identifying challenges and formulating corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Create promotional materials such as flyers and brochures for educational initiatives.
  • Collaborate within a team to ensure the success of all programs.
  • Build and nurture relationships with donors, partners, and local businesses.
  • Engage in community events and job fairs to promote ART Inc's programs.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies to raise awareness of ART Inc's mission and programs.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and assist with special events.
  • Support and uphold the values and policies of ART Inc.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Strong judgment and initiative.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Canva, and One Drive, or a willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic nonprofit setting.
