Position Overview:


The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) operates independently, utilizing assessment skills to initiate patient care protocols and deliver comprehensive medical services within the full scope of practice as defined by state regulations and organizational standards.

Ensures adherence to regulatory and accreditation guidelines while safely transporting patients in compliance with established safety policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining medical equipment according to regulatory standards and ensuring effective communication for safe and quality patient care during transport and handover.

Work Schedule:
Variable shifts (12 hours) including nights, weekends, and holidays.

7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

9:00 AM - 9:00 PM

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Department Overview:


The LifeFlight Ground EMS has evolved since its inception, now operating a fleet of advanced life support ambulances across multiple locations, focusing primarily on interfacility transfers and discharges from affiliated medical facilities.

These services also extend to non-affiliated facilities as needed.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete thorough documentation of patient transports and care in accordance with compliance policies.
  • Ensure safe patient transport adhering to safety protocols and maintaining equipment standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to meet patient needs and ensure quality care.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Patient Assessment and Stabilization (Novice): Demonstrates fundamental skills in assessing and stabilizing patients in practical scenarios.
  • Knowledge of Drug Interactions (Novice): Understands basic drug interactions relevant to patient care.
  • Emergency Management (Novice): Displays fundamental proficiency in emergency management practices.

Position Qualifications:

Certifications:
Valid Driver's License - State of residence, Emergency Medical Technician Advanced Certification.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in a relevant field. Education: Graduate of an accredited program in a related discipline.
