Position Summary:
Emergency Response Technicians are equipped to provide critical assistance to individuals facing medical emergencies, delivering vital pre-hospital care. Their swift actions and skilled support play a key role in preserving life.

Technicians respond to urgent calls, administer medical support, and safely transport patients to healthcare facilities while ensuring appropriate care during transit.

It is essential for Emergency Response Technicians to maintain composure in high-pressure situations to accurately assess medical conditions and perform life-saving interventions based on their extensive training.


Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency at the Basic Life Support (BLS) service level
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Tennessee EMT-B Certification
  • Valid Driver's License with an F endorsement and a clean driving record
  • Current CPR certification
  • Clearance for a criminal background investigation
  • Capability to lift, push, or pull over 100 lbs

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Certification
  • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Certification
  • National Registry Certification
