Job Overview

Position Summary:

Catholic Charities is in search of a dedicated full-time case manager who is committed to supporting children and families in maintaining unity and fostering healthy, supportive relationships. The Intact Family Services initiative collaborates with families who have been referred to child welfare services due to allegations of abuse or neglect. The primary objective of this initiative is to preserve the family structure, avoiding the need for foster care placements. The case manager partners with families to create a tailored service plan that addresses specific challenges and improves overall family dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate family needs and conduct comprehensive case management activities related to child welfare.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of intricate family dynamics and effectively engage families in essential services.
  • Participate in training related to child welfare practices, intervention strategies, and relevant legal frameworks.
  • Coordinate in-home assessments with family members and relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution as issues arise.
  • Monitor family interactions and overall functioning.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all casework activities.
  • Formulate service plans tailored to family needs.
  • Provide educational resources and training to parents.
  • Attend court proceedings as necessary and prepare required documentation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of family systems and knowledge of local social service resources.
  • Possession of reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and compliance with insurance requirements.
