This role is situated within the Human Resources Service Center (HRSC) of the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on the development and transition of human capital services for various staff offices.

The individual in this position acts as a Human Resources Consultant, delivering consultative and advisory support in the domain of position classification and management for the Classification and Position Management team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert guidance and assistance to personnel and clients in addressing complex classification and position management challenges.
  • Offering authoritative advice on a wide range of classification and position management issues.
  • Utilizing in-depth knowledge of classification and position management principles alongside a comprehensive understanding of other HR disciplines to identify, assess, and resolve issues.
  • Evaluating and interpreting new or proposed HR policies, procedures, and guidelines related to classification and position management.

Note: Selective Service Registration is mandatory for males born after a specified date. Selected candidates will undergo an online onboarding process.
