JOB SUMMARY

Outside Equipment Sales Specialist


Capital Pump & Equipment is a rapidly expanding Pump Rental Company seeking an Outside Equipment Sales Specialist. Are you in search of a vibrant and entrepreneurial workplace that allows you to:

As an Outside Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for generating profitable business from the diverse range of equipment your profit center specializes in. This involves developing your designated territory, executing sales strategies to expand business, and maintaining the current customer base while enhancing the Capital Pump & Equipment brand identity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Retain the existing customer base while driving continued sales growth.
  • Develop the assigned territory, implement sales strategies, and maintain current customer relationships.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the designated market area.
  • Manage the sales and marketing of rental and purchase equipment.
  • Source new business opportunities, develop new accounts, and maintain existing accounts.
  • Prepare and present sales contracts and lease agreements.
  • Compile sales plans, reports, expenses, and daily call logs.
  • Formulate bids for new and ongoing projects.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or municipal equipment rental and service, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Standard work hours are weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed based on customer requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in leading a team to complete departmental projects is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to assigned branches.
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

The physical demands of this role include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, with the requirement to work indoors and outdoors as necessary. Candidates must pass a drug screening prior to hiring and provide a valid driver's license for a Motor Vehicle Records background check.
