Sales Route Specialist

Wise Snacks is on the lookout for a Sales Route Specialist to manage our operations in the Elizabeth City, NC region. The main objective of this position is to act as the company's representative in the field, facilitating the sale and distribution of our products. This role is crucial in ensuring that customers receive exceptional service while adhering to deadlines and maintaining timely deliveries. The overarching aim is to enhance sales and profitability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing execution standards across all retail locations.
  • Optimizing space utilization to boost sales.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for additional sales.
  • Demonstrating effective use of point-of-sale systems to drive revenue.
  • Ensuring that stores are serviced according to their sales levels to prevent stockouts.
  • Achieving all sales targets while generating new leads to expand the client base.
  • Managing inventory and placing orders as necessary.
  • Transporting products to their designated locations.
You'll focus on sustainable growth:
  • Providing service to retail locations.
  • Expanding routes to create new service areas and increase sales.
  • Strategically utilizing discounts to maximize sales for both customers and distributors.
  • Establishing and managing routes to minimize costs through effective route management and time optimization.
Minimum qualifications include:
  • Two years of experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) sales.
  • One year of experience in a managerial role (e.g., overseeing merchandisers).
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Prior experience in supermarket sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds.
  • Capability to frequently enter and exit a vehicle.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in the food or salty snack industry.
  • Three or more years of managerial experience.
  • Five or more years in the customer service sector.
  • Five or more years of experience in the supermarket channel.
