Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Sector Marketing, this role collaborates closely with attorneys and fellow marketing professionals to enhance specific marketing and business development efforts for DLA Piper's sector initiatives across the United States. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, capable of partnering with various teams to meet business goals.

Work Arrangement

This position offers flexibility for remote work, with occasional requirements to visit the local office as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager team on strategic client growth initiatives, including pitches, content creation, experience tracking, and directory submissions.
  • Support key client growth programs such as Key Clients, Client Feedback, and Intersections.
  • Conduct and coordinate research in collaboration with firm research teams on clients, market trends, and competitors to effectively position the practice/sector group in proposals.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, key performance metrics, and reports for leadership.
  • Work alongside other Directors and Marketing Managers on significant sector group projects as required.
  • Participate actively in attorney meetings as necessary.
  • Utilize the Marketing Resource System (MRS) for workflow tracking, InterAction for CRM, and Experience Hub for reporting on experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic marketing professional with excellent writing and presentation skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, along with effective communication and data analysis skills, is essential. The ability to establish immediate credibility with attorneys and a client-service orientation are also critical. DLA Piper's marketing team values collaboration and adaptability in response to changing demands and deadlines. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Educational Background

+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing and/or business development within a professional services context.

+ Previous experience in a law firm is preferred.
