About the Role

Aon is seeking an experienced Account Specialist I to join our team in Los Angeles. As an Account Specialist I, you will play a key role in supporting our clients and account teams in managing key processes and client-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Assist Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients and undertaking client-facing and internal activities.
  • Process Management: Assist Brokers as necessary, particularly on Commercial Risk business, and perform submission assembly/creation where assigned.
  • Communication: Facilitate the timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members, handle client open items lists, and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze data, draft assigned elements of stewardship reports, and create convincing presentations tailored to the needs of the audience and circumstances.
  • Renewal Process: Actively support and monitor the renewal process, draft quote comparisons, and follow up for binders, policies, and endorsements.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities to ensure key processes are performed efficiently and quality of client deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Primary collaborator with Premium Accounting on client billing matters, receive and handle routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests.
  • Problem-Solving: Monitor and follow up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, address and resolve problems.
  • Leadership: May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist, delegate work to support staff and ACS where applicable.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous commercial insurance experience preferred, Property & Casualty brokers license preferred or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
